VG: Despite starting many development works, most are still incompleted, why?
AG: This is not true, as the government has started many development works, most has been completed on time while others are on the verge of completion.
I has urged upon the officers to gear up the pace of ongoing works and projects and directed the concerned to personally monitor their progress on regular basis to ensure completion of these projects within their fixed timelines. The PDP-BJP coalition government is committed for the enhancement in related infrastructure for better outcome and dividends from every sector in the state and we are trying our best to do so.
VG: The demands of Nomads most belong to the Gujjar and bakerwal communities, alleges discrimination by the government, why?
AG: Government is working for the development of every section of the society and Gujjar and bakerwals are also a part of our society. We are working for their development also, and every keen in conducting the proper vaccination of livestock, we know the bovines and cattles are their life line and they are fully depended on them.
Meanwhile, by organizing various interaction programmes for the nomads and other members we interacted with them about the issues faced by them. On that occasion I also instructed the concerned officers to take note of the concerns raised and further assured that their genuine demands would be looked into.
I also asked the officers to ensure availability of all basic facilities to the nomads in every district.
VG: There is shortage of number of Sheep and Animal Husbandry units in state, is this true?
AG: There is no shortage in the number of Sheep and Animal Husbandry units in our state, but this number is small in some districts, we are ready for proportional increase in the number of Sheep and Animal Husbandry units in some districts. The government is committed to enhancement in related infrastructure for better outcome and dividends from these sectors in the district. There is need for stress for the by-product of livestock, wool requires skilled manpower and upgraded machinery for proper utilization.
I have instructed the concerned officers to provide shearing facilities at more places for the convenience of people associated with this sector. In this regard, the first-aid camps on permanent basis will be set up in bahaks for catering to the growing needs and exigencies of shepherds for containing on time damage due to various reasons to the their livestock.
